Even though we know 1 in 10 children will experience the death of someone close to them by age 25, there aren’t enough resources available in our region to help all of these children who will suffer loss. By highlighting the needs of grieving children and advocating for more resources, we can make a difference in the life of every grieving child.
Hear what Camp Erin-King County volunteer Taylor Dowdle, a former camper herself, says about Grief Awareness Day.
You can help us make grief support accessible to all grieving children:
- Forward our email about Children’s Grief Awareness Day (coming soon!) to 10 friends so they can join us too.
- Purchase chocolates online or in-store at Fran’s Chocolates from November 1 – November 15. There are three special boxes you can buy, and Fran’s will donate 25% of the sale proceeds to Safe Crossings Foundation toward ensuring children’s grief support! Buying Fran’s Chocolates is a sweet way to spread the word about Children’s Grief Awareness Day and give a thoughtful gift as well.
- Donate to Safe Crossings Foundation here.
Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way toward increasing awareness of childhood grief in our community.
