For Fouad and Fady Masoud, donating to a local charity is the best way to celebrate their birthdays, which are two weeks apart. The brothers, who hosted a Charity Ball benefitting Safe Crossings Foundation (SCF) on April 10th, value philanthropy and believe in the purpose Safe Crossings Foundation serves.
On the GoFundMe page the brothers created to accompany the event they said, “We are both very lucky to enjoy the life we live and are aware of the many others who aren’t as fortunate.”
This belief has led them to make philanthropy a tradition when celebrating their birthdays. This tradition began three years ago with Fady raising money for Mercy Corps. He has now been joined by his brother Fouad making this year’s event the biggest yet.
The Charity Ball was cocktail party style, with hundreds of guests in attendance. Held on top of the Columbia Tower, three DJs performed, one of which was Fouad Masoud himself. The brothers set their fundraising goal at $10,000, which they surpassed that evening, raising over $11,000 for Safe Crossings Foundation! SCF Board member Colleen Robertson attended the event and had the opportunity to speak on behalf of the Foundation. We thank Fouad and Fady for their selfless generosity. We are so grateful for the new connections we were able to establish and the continued friendship and support of the Masoud brothers.
